This blog highlights the wealth of activities the children at Riversides School experience during their weekly Outdoor Education lessons. The range of opportunities coupled with the diverse settings we visit enable the children to explore and engage in learning in a wide variety of ways. This also allows for cross curricular links to ICT, English, Science and Maths.

walk around Eymore Woods and Habberley Valley
The pupils enjoyed finding geocaches around the forest areas talking about the wildlife and what animals live in the forest. As we were walking the pupils noticed three pheasants running across the paths. The pupils showed an interest in jumping over the streams and walking over the bridges and in and out of the trees. After Eymore Woods we drove to Habberley Valley where the pupils showed an interest in swinging on the rope. The pupils enjoyed seeing who could go the highest.
