This blog highlights the wealth of activities the children at Riversides School experience during their weekly Outdoor Education lessons. The range of opportunities coupled with the diverse settings we visit enable the children to explore and engage in learning in a wide variety of ways. This also allows for cross curricular links to ICT, English, Science and Maths.

walk around Habberley Valley with Year 9
The pupils enjoyed climbing to the top of the stone cliff looking at the view. The pupils showed an interest in walking through the forest areas to get to the destination of a rope swing. The pupils enjoyed swinging back and forth, and side to side, on the swing where they had competitions to see who could go the highest. One of the pupils enjoyed searching for treasure as they found an 1971 water bottle. Another pupil showed an interest in shaking and swinging from the tree branches.
