This blog highlights the wealth of activities the children at Riversides School experience during their weekly Outdoor Education lessons. The range of opportunities coupled with the diverse settings we visit enable the children to explore and engage in learning in a wide variety of ways. This also allows for cross curricular links to ICT, English, Science and Maths.

team work with Year 7A at Hartlebury Common
As we got to Hartlebury Common the teacher explained about a new game they had invented using a football. The rules of the game was that all of the pupils had to stand around the football in a big circle with the ball in the middle for the purpose of the object being a bomb and as the teacher says go, they would need to run into the middle to grab the football or run away so they don't get caught. When a pupil had the football their role was to then go and chase their peers to get them out by throwing the ball towards their bodies.
